Who This Support Is For
At Viriya Community Services (VCS), we are dedicated to enhancing the mental wellness of individuals and families in our community through a holistic, multi-disciplinary approach.
Our mental health and well-being services are for:
- Caregivers who support loved ones and are looking for caregiver mental health support
- Individuals experiencing stress, emotional distress, or mental health challenges
- Families seeking community services to support their mental health
With our team of specialists, we want individuals to easily access mental health resources so they can lead fulfilling, healthy lives.
Mental Health Services
We begin with mental health literacy and early identification through public education and mental health screening. By raising awareness about the importance of early intervention, we help individuals recognise signs of mental distress and take proactive steps to seek support before issues escalate. This preventative approach ensures that mental health challenges are addressed early, reducing the risk of more severe conditions.
For those who are experiencing early signs of mental distress—such as anxiety, stress, or mild emotional strain—we offer early intervention services. These services help individuals manage subclinical symptoms and prevent them from developing into more serious mental health conditions. This support can include counseling, psychoeducation, and coping strategies.
For individuals dealing with more significant mental health symptoms or those diagnosed with mental health disorders, we offer customised assessments and specialised interventions. Our services include individual therapy, psychological support, and step-down care for those transitioning from more intensive treatment back into the community. We ensure ongoing care that supports recovery, mental well-being, and long-term stability.
Our comprehensive mental health services in Singapore start from mental health literacy to personalised interventions for lasting well-being.

Community-Based Mental Health & Caregiving Support
Hospital care is essential for emergencies, but everyday support in the community helps prevent crises from happening in the first place.
Community-based mental health care meets people where they live, work, and study. Through community services, caregivers and individuals get accessible support in a less “institutionalised” environment where care feels more personal and closer to home.
A social service agency in Singapore, VCS, offers a range of community services, such as:
- Monthly psycho-education talks
- Support groups
- Wellness activities
- Self-help resources
- Collaborative outreach efforts
These initiatives help build community cohesion, enhance mental health literacy, and provide individuals with opportunities to connect with others facing similar challenges.
Integrated Caregiver Support to Build Resilience
Our programmes combine mental health services with caregiver resources to form an integrated support system that helps individuals and families manage mental health challenges and build the resilience and capacity to thrive while caring for a family member.
Specifically, our holistic caregiver mental health support combines early intervention, ongoing support, and community engagement.
Providing Specialised Support
VCS also provides specialised support for families and children of parents with mental illness (PMIs), addressing their unique needs through targeted interventions and family-focused care. This ensures positive outcomes for both parents and children.
Integrated Support Across the Mental Health Journey
Prevention is at the heart of what we do, from mental wellness programmes to education and early screening. When life gets tough, our compassionate team offers counselling, caregiver support, and case management, guiding families from challenges to recovery.
