Advancing to the Next Level
In July 2021, Viriya Community Services (VCS) established the Office of Transformation and introduced a new organisational structure to elevate the organisation to the next level. The Office of Transformation focused on human resources, and systems and processes, with the primary goal of supporting our people. Its efforts were aimed at enhancing skill sets, fostering leadership development, and retaining the right talent.
Having successfully addressed the major challenges identified and implemented the necessary changes, VCS has now reached a steady state in its transformation journey. With its primary goals achieved, the Office of Transformation was formally absolved in July 2025.
The foundational work completed will continue to empower individuals to thrive, enhancing the overall quality of life for the community, and ensuring VCS remains “Resilient, Sustainable, and Liveable for All”.
Leveraging on Technology
Digitalisation Efforts
In 2020, VCS embarked on the B2B (Back-to-Basics) SMART VIRIYA digitalisation journey to enhance operational efficiency, staff engagement, and overall service delivery. In 2023, all three key projects – Viriya IntelliBot, Viriya Task Automation & Appointment Management System, and Viriya Interactive Community Map – were successfully launched, marking significant milestones in our digital transformation efforts. These initiatives aim to streamline processes and improve service delivery for the community.
