The Division of Community Development enhances the community development capability of VCS’ programmes and services. The division facilitates community organisation and social action to build social capital and community resilience within VCS’ service boundaries.

The division aims to build connected communities that are committed to take collective actions to effect desired changes, address community issues, and provide mutual support to its members. Through community development, the division aims to achieve the following objectives:

• promote social wellbeing
• build community resilience
• achieve positive outcomes
