Trauma & Loss Symposium 2020

Viriya Community Services would like to invite practitioners and fellow colleagues to join us in an upcoming online Trauma and Loss symposium 2020When Trauma and Grief Meet from 07 to 09 October 2020.

The symposium aims to enhance our understanding of the multifaceted impact of trauma and loss on individuals, families and the community as a result of traumatic or major incidents.

It also discusses the interplay between various systems and our individual experiences in the face of trauma and loss, and provide practice suggestions and strategies to overcome trauma and loss when grief goes awry.

The symposium will be presented by internationally-recognised trauma and grief experts in trauma and grief work:

Prof. Amy Y. M. Chow – Professor with the Department of Social Work and Social Administration, The University of Hong Kong
Ms. Fatima Elguenuni – Grenfell Community Consultant and a Community Collaboration Team Manager at NHS Grenfell Health and Well-being Service
Dr. Idit Albert – Consultant Clinical Psychologist and PTSD Lead at South London and Maudsley NHS Trust
Dr. Kathleen Gilbert –  Professor Emerita at the flagship campus of Indiana University-Bloomington

Fees:
$50 for 1 session
